Austin, Texas – Streimer had a solid performance in the opening rounds of the Pirelli World Challenge TC class at the Circuit of the America's in Austin, Texas. "Considering a new car, new team and new series, we are very pleased with our results this weekend", says Streimer. "We qualified 7th for Round 1 and also finished 7th in Saturday's race. We learned a lot during that race as I continue to get a feel for the car and we continue to identify areas that we can make improvements which is to be expected with a new car."
Given that the grid for Race 2 is set based upon the fastest lap of Race 1; "which, was not anywhere on my radar", adds Streimer, the team ended up starting 10th for Sunday's race and finished 8th just behind Jeff Ricca in the number 78 Genesis Coupe after a great battle for 7th where Ricca and Streimer swapped postions several times. "We were just not able to make it stick, says Streimer, but we have the makings of a really strong car and are confident with a little more development that we will continue to move towards the front."
The TCR, TC and TCA classes return to Pirelli World Challenge competition on April 27-29 at the beautiful VIRginia International Raceway in Danville, Va.
